The Slatina Monastery stands close to Malini village, 16 km far from Falticeni. It was raised by Prince Alexandru Lapusneanu between 1554 and 1558, at the lap of the Stânisoara Mountains. The monastery complex contains the church itself, the princely residence, the artesian well and the surrounding 2-meter thick and 6-7-meter wall with defence towers.

It was a medieval cultural and art centre where fine fabrics were woven, embroidery and miniatures were made and chronicles were copied.
Alexandru Lapusneanu and two of his daughters rest in their graves inside the church.
